About Ganso

Ganso mixes easily with all kinds of furry companions, no matter the shape or species. His personality is starting to come into focus: sweet, low-maintenance, and about as quiet a dog as you’ll ever meet. He doesn’t fit the usual chihuahua mold; after spending time with much bigger breeds, maybe he thinks he’s one of them. Ganso is a little timid at first but quickly becomes cuddly and trusting once he knows you. Now that his head wound has healed, his gentle nature shines even brighter. He’s easy to manage in a kennel or puppy pen, but honestly, he’s so well-behaved that free roaming has worked even better than expected. Ganso came to rescue after his owner was deported. He lingered loose for some time and lost his canine companion along the way, only to be found with a nasty gash on his head. That wound’s healed and he’s shown remarkable resilience. At an estimated 2 to 3 years old and about 9.5 pounds, Ganso is as healthy as he is easygoing—heartworm negative, too. He’s an excellent car rider (no car sickness) and interacts politely with dogs of all sizes, including dogs much larger than himself. He shows curiosity toward cats but never obsesses or chases. Ganso’s confidence grows as he’s surrounded by friendly animals, and he’s ready to bring that steady, social spirit into a home of his own. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
