About Smokey
Smokey came to the rescue with Alexander after their family lost their home. Ideally, Smokey would love to be adopted with Alexander, but he also feels comfortable with other cats. This big, gray and white boy gravitates toward soft spots near people—especially if it means the promise of belly rubs. Smokey is low-key, content to watch the world from a window and keep an eye out for any nearby birds. Toys are also a big hit—he can't resist a laser pointer chase, but treats still win out as his top priority. Smokey gets along well with other cats and dogs. While he would appreciate being adopted with his brother, he's likely to settle into any gentle, animal-friendly home. He's house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Smokey is looking for a local adopter (within about 30 minutes of Elgin, Des Plaines, or Antioch, Illinois). Click apply to start the adoption process.
