About Wagner
Early February, a young cat was found as a stray in Fort Stevens State Park near Astoria, Oregon. This little one was unable to use their back legs and was dragging themselves along the ground when discovered. After an examination by a local veterinarian, it was determined the cat required emergency surgery to repair a fractured pelvis, abdominal wall hernia, and a bladder complications. The cat was transported to Portland, where surgeons successfully repaired the pelvic fracture and hernia surrounding the bladder. We’re happy to share that this brave little cat, now named Wagner, is on the mend in a loving foster home. She`s had the chance to recover slowly, safely, and surrounded by constant care and affection. 💛 She has been living in a quiet home with a 15yr old cat and a 10yr Labrador, whom both enjoy Wagner’s presence. Wagner has the cutest meow and prances around the house with enthusiasm. She`s very good about scratching on a cat tree and she uses the litter box faithfully (both clay and pellets). She prefers wet food and tries to sneak dog food, which the dog doesn’t like 😂. She loves to sleep on a lap or on a chair with an electric blanket. She will be a great companion to any family.
