About Gaia
Gaia is currently in a foster home as part of a program that lets cats take a breather from the shelter while they wait for adopters. She has lived with other cats before and is now sharing space with a dog in her foster home, handling the mix pretty well. When Gaia chooses to be social, she’ll share the couch and appreciates gentle pets and snuggles, but she leans toward the petite, quiet side and will need time to settle into a new environment. The ideal home for Gaia is patient and calm, preferably adult-only, where she can settle in at her own pace without pressure. For best results, start her off in her own room and let her gradually expand her territory—she’s not one to rush. Gaia’s background didn’t offer much socialization, so she can be wary with new people, isn’t fond of being picked up, and might always prefer her own ground. Still, she’s got a lot of love to offer and will bond deeply with someone who understands her speed. She may also benefit from living with another cat who can help her build confidence. All her veterinary work is current: Gaia is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Click apply to start the adoption process.
