When petting was attempted in that kennel, she pulled back and hissed, but then allowed petting with the scratcher tool while remaining nervous. Once both doors were shut, she came back into the first kennel and continued to observe the assessor. Then she came to the very front and sniffed treats and began eating them when put through the bars. She was then given squeeze up in a tray which she began eating after giving a quick little hiss and then allowed a brief pet on her head before hissing slightly again, but remaining in place. Noche tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home.
