About Murphy

Click apply to start the adoption process. Murphy is an energetic and lively young cat who delights in playful antics. He has an amusing habit of treating a fresh litter box as his personal playground—even choosing to nap in it. Murphy adores his toys, and it's a nightly ritual for him to scatter every last one from his basket, turning cleanup into a daily event. He is especially vocal during "hunting" mode, confidently stalking through the house in search of a toy to pounce on. While his hunting is limited to playthings, he'll gladly investigate any stray critters, keeping his adventures light-hearted and harmless. Murphy is friendly with other cats and quick to make friends with any strays peering in from outside. Though he isn’t much for cuddles, he'll contentedly lie beside you in bed or on the couch. He shares a remarkable bond with his sister, Rooney—so much so that when she was recovering from surgery, he stayed close by her crate. Their lovely orange and white coats make them nearly identical, and they would be a wonderful pair to adopt together. Murphy gets along well with dogs, although Rooney may not share his enthusiasm.
