Shrek is a 4-year-old Doberman Pinscher weighing about 65 pounds, and this handsome guy is proving that underneath that strong, regal look is a total sweetheart. He’s a gentle, easygoing boy who seems happiest soaking up affection and enjoying the simple things in life, like a good head scratch and a tasty treat. Shrek has been very sweet in our care and has such a calm, polite presence about him. He takes treats so gently, which is always a good sign of his soft and thoughtful personality. He also walks nicely on leash, making him a wonderful companion for strolls, neighborhood walks, or just being your steady sidekick through the day. We were told Shrek is kid and dog-friendly, though he has not been tested in our care. What we do know is that he’s been a kind, gentle soul who would love a home where he can be adored the way he deserves. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
