Checkers is always up for a new adventure—he loves exploring, learning, and playing—especially when there's another dog involved! He thrives with a canine friend and would make a great sibling for your resident pup, or you can even adopt his best buddy Carl for double the love. Whether he's trotting by your side on walks, mastering the "sit" command, or savoring a quiet moment snuggling on the couch, Checkers brings joy to every moment. Checkers is sharp and highly trainable—he potty trained quickly, learned "sit" in just one day, and is already practicing excellent puppy manners like walking nicely on a leash and keeping his paws to himself. His happy spirit, eager-to-please personality, and affectionate snuggles are sure to make him a beloved member of his future family. Currently, Checkers is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, but his upbeat attitude hasn’t slowed him down a bit.
