Billy is a 10-year-old neutered Dachshund with an undeniable presence and a non-stop sense of humor. He just had a dental cleaning with a whopping 12 extractions, so his mouth is feeling fresher than ever. Billy loves life outside when the sun is shining and absolutely needs a yard; he also genuinely enjoys having a dog friend. Always up for a stroll, whether it’s a park or the city sidewalks, he’s a vocal character—there’s a running commentary during walks, and his excitement is hard to miss. Social to his core, Billy gets along with all people and animals, including cats and dogs, but the humans in his new home should be 12 or older for everyone’s comfort. He’s house trained, always ready for a cozy spot indoors (especially if it’s sweater weather), and known for his stretchy “meerkat” pose and hilarious extra ankle skin. Indulging in every food, including veggies, is a specialty, but cold days aren’t his favorite. You’ll spot him sunbathing, looking like a redwood log, or digging around for imaginary badgers. He comes with an assortment of silly nicknames, and, thanks to his foster being a sitter, pet sitting privileges are built in.
