Maximo is a handsome hound/Border Collie mix boy born in mid-January, and he’s already winning hearts wherever he goes. This sweet, playful pup has a big personality and an even bigger brain. He’s incredibly intelligent and truly shines when given enrichment activities like snuffle mats and puzzle toys. Maximo is already picking up commands such as come, sit, and down, showing just how eager he is to learn and please. After a fun-filled day, Maximo happily switches gears and becomes a total cuddle bug. One of his favorite things is resting his head on your shoulder and soaking up all the love. As a Border Collie mix, Maximo will thrive in an active, adventurous home that can keep both his body and mind engaged. Long walks, hikes, training games, and new experiences are right up his alley—and he’ll be your loyal sidekick every step of the way. Maximo is off to a great start with his training: he is partially potty trained (all poops outside!), crate trained, and sleeps through the night like a champ. He would do best in a home with older children who can respect his puppy energy and boundaries, and a secure, fenced-in yard is required so he has a safe space to run, play, and burn off his energy.
