Meet Winnie~ Winnie is a beautiful 2-year-old black Lab/Shepherd mix (dna verified) weighing 65 lbs, and she’s ready to find her forever home. After spending the last 6 months in a loving foster home, she has grown into an incredibly sweet and well-mannered dog with so much love to give. Winnie truly does not have a mean bone in her body. She is 100% housebroken, sleeps peacefully in her crate at night, and is leash trained—walking nicely once she gets past her initial excitement. She’s still working on commands like “sit” and “stay,” but she’s eager to learn and already knows her boundaries (especially when it comes to staying out of the kitchen!). She’s also used to having her own space and does not get on furniture or expect human food. She loves the fun things in life—car rides, hiking adventures, and trips to the dog park. While she’s not overly high-energy, she does best with regular exercise like daily walks and would thrive in a home with another playful, gentle dog. Winnie didn’t have the easiest start in life, so she needs a patient and kind home where she can continue building trust. She isn’t fearful, but she can be a bit timid at times, and harsh tones or raised voices can set her back. Because of this, she would do best in a nurturing environment. She is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet and will bring so much joy to the right home.
