Candy prefers to be with people but beginning to enjoy her independence 🐕 Social & Home Life • How are they with people (adults/kids/new people)? Candy is shy and takes some time to warm to new people. She expresses curiosity and will sniff you and tilt her head in the most adorable way. • How are they with other dogs? Candy seems interested in other dogs and is from a home with many other dogs. • Behavior when left alone or when guests visit: Candy settles down after a few minutes when we leave. She did not mind at all when we had guests over. 🎓 Training & Manners • Crate trained? Not yet but uses a gate! • Leash skills: working on it! 🌞 Daily Life • Typical day with you: Candy is decompressing and spends a lot of her day sleeping/relaxing. She is warming up to us and does a little happy dance when we enter the room. • Favorite activities or toys: she will push a lick ball around and is beginning to explore plush toys. She loves her bed! 🌱 Growth Areas • Anything they’re still working on? Enjoying leash walking! • What helps them succeed? Quiet, patience, soft bed, acoustic music, treats (dried beef liver) 🏡 Ideal Home • Only dog / With dog: Foster in Texas reported she got along great with other dogs though and was previously in a home with others. Might depend on the dogs. • Good fit for apartment living? Getting there! • Good with cats? Yes, tested in Texas. Also loves kids. • What kind of adopter would be the best match?
