Pet Location: Wayside's Canine Behavior Center - I'd love to show off all the cool things I've learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. -During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs. - Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, I love them all! -Chews, Kong-like feeders, puzzle toys—help to keep me entertained! -I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me. My home needs are: -I must go to a home that already has another playful and confident dog. -I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to make sure they can "show me the ropes." -For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags. -I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. -A fenced yard is a must for me! I need a secure area to run around and release my energy. -I’m going on a Slumber Pawty! A 7-10 day in-home trial is required before adoption, so we can make sure it’s the perfect fit for both of us.
