About Lucy So Il
Meet Lucy! 🐾💜 Lucy is a beautiful 2½-year-old Labrador Retriever (silver coat) weighing about 80 pounds of loyalty, heart, and playful spirit. Lucy’s story is one of resilience. She was originally found as a stray at a rural animal control and later adopted into a home where she spent the past year and a half. There, she formed a special bond with a child with autism, showing her gentle and intuitive nature. Due to changes in the home, Lucy is now looking for her next forever family. In the home, Lucy can be a bit shy and reserved at first, and it appears she may not have always been treated kindly in her past. But with patience and kindness, she begins to relax and show her sweet personality. Lucy is also potty trained and kennel trained, making her an easy addition once she settles into a routine. Outside is where she truly shines — she becomes confident, playful, and full of joy, especially when it’s time for her absolute favorite thing: fetch! 🎾 She retrieves beautifully with a soft mouth, brings the ball right back, and drops it at your feet, ready for the next throw. She’ll even bark and “talk” to you to let you know she’s ready to keep the game going! And if you really want to win her over? Give her a good scratch near her tail — Lucy is famous for her adorable full-body booty wiggle. When she gets excited, it’s not just her tail that wags… her whole back end does the cutest little wobble that’s guaranteed to make you smile. 💛 Lucy is looking for a home that will give her a little time to build confidence and feel safe, along with plenty of opportunities to play and be loved. Once she trusts you, she will reward you with loyalty, sweetness, and that joyful, playful energy that makes her so special. If you’re looking for a gentle soul who will also happily be your fetch partner (and your daily dose of smiles), Lucy might be your perfect match. Lucy will come with a collar, leash, toy, two food bowls, some food, and a copy of all her medical and microchip information. Her adoption fee of $500 is tax-deductible and includes her spay, vaccines, heartworm testing and treatment, and microchip.
