Hi... I'm Lieutenant Dan. Yeah, like the name says—I've been through a battle or two. I'm just a year old, but life threw something big my way. I was hit by a car, and it left my pelvis pretty banged up. The vet says I'm gonna make a full recovery, but right now I've got orders: strict crate rest for three months. Not exactly the adventure I had in mind... but I'm holding the line. I spend most of my days healing, watching the world from my little space, and dreaming about the day I can run, jump, and explore again. Until then, I'm doing my duty—resting up and getting stronger. The thing is... none of this has changed who I am. I'm still one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet. I love people—like, really love people. I'll purr the moment you come near me, and I live for soft pets, kind voices, and just being close to someone who cares. Even stuck in a crate, I've got so much love to give. What I need now is my forever home. Someone patient, someone kind—someone who's willing to help a recovering soldier get back on his feet. Three months of quiet healing, and then I'll be ready to take on the world... right by your side. I may be down for now—but I'm not out! Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our dogs personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with our rescued dogs.
