Meet Clara! Clara is a 7 year old doodle mix weighing about 50 pounds. She has a gentle and sweet demeanor. She loves her dog bed and bringing all her toys to bed with her. She has been trusted loose in her foster home and lounges on her dog bed or the couch while her foster parents are at work. After the workday, she enjoys a walk around the neighborhood and walks nicely on the leash. She’s only had a few accidents in her foster home but has quickly learned to potty outside. She is dog friendly and seems to enjoy the company of another dog to lounge around with. A lot of the world is new to her so she can be a bit timid around new people and new sounds/situations but she is continuing to gain confidence and has started seeking pets and cuddles from the humans in her home. Clara is a total sweetheart and would thrive in a loving and patient home that will help her reach her full potential. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in New Berlin. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home. Current Adoption Fees Are: $425+tax for puppies to 3 years old $375+tax for ages 4-7 $275+tax for ages 8 and up Bonded pairs vary The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements.
