About Ricky
Meet Ricky! Ricky is a 3-month-old mixed breed puppy with a big heart, an even bigger personality, and paws he’s still growing into! At around 25 pounds already, he’s expected to be a large dog when fully grown—likely in the 70–90 pound range. His exact breed mix may be a mystery, but one thing is certain: he is absolutely adorable. Ricky is the ultimate Velcro puppy. He lives to be close to his people and will happily climb right into your lap and completely melt into you. Being held is his favorite thing—he could stay there all day if you let him. He’s also a playful, happy pup who enjoys chew toys and a good game of tug-of-war. Like many puppies his age, Ricky is still learning what’s appropriate to chew—pant legs beware! He thinks they’re very fun right now, but he’s a smart boy and will do great with continued guidance, redirection, and plenty of appropriate toys. Ricky keeps up great with bigger dogs and especially loves playing with his foster sibling husky—he jumps right into the fun without hesitation. He’s doing wonderfully with crate training. Ricky willingly goes into his crate, treats it as his safe space, and settles in easily. He sleeps there at night, stays there when home alone, and will even take breaks there on his own. He’s also making great progress with potty training—he’s had a few accidents as expected for his age, but keeps his crate clean. Ricky does have some “wonky” legs due to what is likely Angular Limb Deformity (ALD), where the bones grow a bit unevenly, causing them to appear slightly twisted or shortened. The good news? It doesn’t slow him down! He gets around just fine, plays normally, and doesn’t let it affect his happy, loving spirit. Ricky is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and will come with a health certificate. He’s right here in NH waiting for someone ready for lots of love, lots of snuggles—and maybe a little puppy mischief along the way.
