His body is tired. His bloodwork has come back again and again with no clear answers, numbers all over the place, leaving us unsure of what’s truly going on inside him. Possible kidney issues. What we do know is this—he deserves comfort, not confusion. Peace, not stress. A home, not a kennel. Thor is deeply depressed here (unless he sees food/treats) You can see it in the way he carries himself, in the quiet moments where he just seems… lost. We spend time with him, we love on him, and he leans into it so gently—but it’s not the same. It’s not a home. And yet… even at 14 years old, with everything weighing on him, Thor still finds little sparks of joy. Especially treat time excites him. He knows sit and will flash this huge smile. **his teeth are horrible nubs Thor is dog friendly & could care less about cats. At his age, with unknown health risks he has not been neutered & would qualify for no neuter based on health & age. He hasn't gained any weight despite being on our care for 2 months searching for answers on his health. 🫣He pooped out a plastic grocery bag while here that he consumed from searching for food where we was previously living on a chain💔 He’ll get up, he’ll move, he’ll even try to play. It’s like he’s holding onto hope, waiting for someone to see him and say, “You don’t have to do this alone anymore.” He is calm, gentle, and so deserving of kindness. He doesn’t need much—just a soft place to rest, a warm hand, and someone willing to give him the love he’s been missing. Whether he has months or years left, they should be filled with comfort, not cold floors and uncertainty. Please… if you have room in your heart for a senior who needs you now more than ever, Thor is waiting. Don’t let his story end here.
