Yes, probably best unless on leash Claire is a sweet, loving, and well-behaved girl who thrives on companionship. She flourishes with a routine and will politely remind you when it is time for meals, walks, or heading outside. Due to a ruptured ACL, Claire requires assistance getting into vehicles, though she handles stairs without any issues. She is excellent on a leash during her recommended short walks and is currently benefiting from specific exercises to strengthen her knee. Claire deeply loves being with people. Due to previous abandonment, she experiences some separation anxiety, which is currently being managed with medication. She is good with other dogs, curious about cats and local wildlife, and is wonderful with children. Her favorite pastime is emptying her toy box to surround herself with "stuffies" and chew toys. She also enjoys watching meal preparations; while she does not beg, she will happily accept any treats offered. Claire looks to a pack leader for direction and understands commands such as sit, stay, wait, come, lay down, and "show me your belly." She is also very submissive during physical examinations. This is a great soft, cuddly “Care Bear” named Clair.
