Tavis is a gentle, affectionate boy who loves his people and does well with other dogs and even cats. He enjoys exploring alongside a canine companion but can be hesitant on his own. Sensitive and thoughtful, Tavis thrives in calm, predictable environments. While not aggressive, busy or chaotic settings can feel overwhelming for him. Once he feels safe, his loyal and loving personality shines. Tavis has done well with resident and foster dogs when introductions are slow and structured. He can be an only dog in the right home; however, without a canine companion, he will need a home where he is not left alone for a full workday. He does best with routine, reassurance, and regular human presence. Because of his sensitivity, Tavis is not a good candidate for dog parks or unstructured group play. He prefers calm, controlled interactions and thoughtful introductions. A fenced yard is strongly preferred, and apartment living or very busy households may be challenging for him.
