Rocky is a Staffordshire/Pit mix that has been an amazing family pet for the past two and a half years. Due to relocation concerns, we are seeking a safe and loving home for Rocky! In January 2024, we first met Rocky in a second-hand store. When I jokingly asked the lady at the register if he was for sale, she explained Rocky was found hungry and injured roadside two days prior. She opened the kennel, and he immediately ran to me for a hug! That evening, Rocky was part of the family. Upon his first vet appointment, Rocky was estimated at nine months of age, putting him at three years old to date. We call his birthday March 10th! Due to injury, his tail was bobbed, and he also received a chip and was neutered that day. Rocky recovered and gained weight quickly, and is a healthy and handsome pup. Rocky is very energetic and loves to walk, do zoomies, play fetch, and tug-of-war. His favorite toys are ropes, balls, and bones! Rocky has always been house-trained, and does not mark or damage interior surfaces or furniture. He knows all basic commands, and several words – his favorite is “food”! He can also shake, sit, lay, and heel. Rocky received a month of training by KB Ranch in late 2025, refining his walking and recall skills. Rocky is extremely loyal and protective to his family, almost to a fault! He is good with all people and children. Due to his protective nature for his home and family, deliberate introduction to new people is needed, but once “in the pack”, Rocky is the most loving dog anyone can have! In public, Rocky is well-socialized and behaves on the leash. He is primarily better with female dogs, his unrelated sister is a playful Chihuahua named Nova! During his puppy years, Rocky grew up with a large outside play area and ability to enter/exit the home via a doggy door. He loves to be outside, especially on a warm day, and will be glad to chase any critter or trespasser off your property! Indoors, he loves to be pet, cuddled, and belly-rubbed, and enjoys sitting at his ownerâ€ÂTMs side or feet! Due to relocation concerns, Rocky needs a new safe and loving home.
