Meet the one and only Zeke! He's the cutest black lab/border collie mix you'll ever meet and he's currently looking for his emotional support human. Zeke is a 3-4 year old doting companion. At 60lbs he's the perfect weighted blanket to cuddle with while watching your favorite movies or TV shows. Everyone that meets him says he's the softest dog they've had the pleasure of petting. He's a people lover and is not shy about asking for more pets from everyone in the room. He's fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Zeke is a very go with the flow type of guy. He gets used to a routine quickly but doesn't mind if things need to be shaken up a little bit as long as he gets pets and his favorite treats. However, his favorite thing in the world is spending time with his humans and he would give up all his treats in exchange for some quality time together. Zeke's Labrador Retriever side really shines when it comes to playtime and he makes it well known that all his favorite toys are bird shaped and will be retrieved. He's a little shy at first but once he feels comfortable he will play with you all day. He also doesn't mind entertaining himself by solving a few puzzles or finding all the treats in a snuffle mat. He loves his humans so much that he prefers to not share them with other dogs or cats. He has been working on self-improvement when it comes to other dogs he come across while on walks but he seems to prefer being introduced to calm and unruffled dogs. We haven't been able to observe him interact with small children but he's well behaved walking near them and seems to love all humans as long as they give him love and attention. Zeke would do amazing in a household with work from home parents and a backyard he can enjoy but he would do just fine as long as he's not alone for too many hours. He's an extremely fast learner. He's housebroken and walks good on a leash as long as he's not in urgent need of a potty break. He knows all the basic commands and would love to learn new tricks! Zeke attended a 3 week training program back in June to help reinforce his good boy behavior. There he learned to follow not only voice but also hand commands so he knows exactly what you need from him without you needing to say anything. Zeke needs a forever home with parents who's schedule allows them to spend time with him. We're unable to provide him with that and he deserves better.
