About Gus V

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet Gus, the sweetest, silliest feline who will quickly wiggle into your heart! Gus is a 4.5-year-old Domestic Medium Hair cat showing off those stunning Turkish Van looks and coloring. He adores couch cuddles and snuggling up with a soft, fuzzy blanket. Gus was saved in October 2021 as one of forty cats and kittens rescued from a challenging hoarding situation, and he’s ready to find the loving home he deserves. Gus is calm and gentle at heart, but don’t let that fool you—he has bursts of playful energy and loves to chirp and dash around when the mood strikes. Most of his days are spent lounging and making biscuits in his fluffy cat bed. He’s comfortable with both other cats and small dogs, although he appreciates a slow introduction as he settles into a new space. This special boy has limited vision in his right eye due to an enlarged eyeball from fluid build-up, but it doesn’t slow him down at all. Whether he’s perched on his cat tree or curled up with his older kitty sister or foster chiweenies, Gus is easy to love, though he takes a bit of time to truly open up. Recently, Gus’s life was turned upside down when his previous owner lost their home and he ended up in a household with large dogs—a stressful situation for him. He’s spent the past 8 months with a foster, but now needs a permanent haven. Gus will do best in a quiet, safe home with a patient person who’s ready to give him all the comfort and affection he has been missing. He’s truly a gentle loverboy just waiting for someone to share his heart with. This pet is participating in the Dallas Pets Alive rehoming program.
