Ready to Adopt a Kitten? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available kittens in the shelter. (Kittens in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT SIGHT UNSEEN If you're ready to adopt without meeting the kitten first, we can help over the phone or by email. Kittens are adopted on a first come, first served basis, and we're not able to place holds on them. All kitten adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age) -current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
