Pretzel is a shy, sensitive girl who is new to our program and still learning about the world around her. She is unsure with new people and new environments and is still building trust, and just needs a little time to see that you are safe. A less-is-more approach will go a long way with Pretzel-quiet time together, like simply sitting nearby or reading to her, helps her feel safe and start to come out of her shell. Touch is not her love language until she feels comfortable, but quality time is definitely her love language. With patience (and a few tasty treats!), she begins to warm up and show her sweet side. We think once she feels comfortable, she has the potential to become a true velcro dog.
