APPLICATION & INFO: https://barkbarkwag.org/adopt.html KYLA Poor Kyla was taken to a local shelter recently with painful, damaged teeth and a sadly broken spirit. She was very quiet there and made herself as small as possible; not moving out of her bed or wanting to call attention to herself in any way. We don't know what Kyla went through in her previous life, but we suspect most of it wasn't good. Our friends at the shelter asked us to help Kyla; we welcomed this sweetie to BBW a few weeks ago, and rushed her straight to our vet for diagnostics, bloodwork and basics. She had dental and spay surgery the next day, and a mammary tumor was also removed (thankfully benign)! Her foster family had a cozy, quiet area ready for her to rest/recover in, and that's what she's been doing for the past few weeks. We've learned a lot about this resilient girl, as she's shared a bit more of her delightful personality each day. Kyla is a bit shy and cautious when meeting new people. She appreciates kind voices and a gentle touch once she's comfortable, which help her feel safe. She will thrive in a quieter, adult-only home with (or without) a similar-sized dog companion; she's more of a "people person" than a "dog person". ( She's fine with kids, but would be more comfortable not living with them; a busy home with loud voices and/or chaos would not work for her.) Kyla is a darling Terrier mix with a soft, gingery coat. She's 8 years young and around 15#. She's healthy and happy now, and loves doing her zoomies around the fenced yard. She has a hearty appetite, and enjoys her snacks and foods. Kyla is house-trained; and she's a lovely, polite houseguest who has no need for a crate. She loves belly rubs, and gazes up at you with soft brown eyes in hopes that you'll give her one. Kyla's looking for a loving, patient furever family who will treat her like the sweet princess she is. We promised her we'll find that family for her, so she'll always be safe and feel loved. She's a wonderful companion!
