The second I let her out of her cage, she completely transformed-she is seriously one of the sweetest, most easygoing dogs I've ever met. She's a blast to play with, too. She's happy entertaining herself with a toy, but the second you join in, she's all about it. One of the best things about her is that she doesn't resource guard at all; she's totally fine sharing her toys and her space. When she isn't playing, she's a total shadow. She just wants to be near you and will even try to sneak in a hug! After we wore ourselves out, she found a sunny spot to chill, but as soon as I sat down, she climbed right into my lap to snuggle. She's also a total pro on a leash-no pulling, she listens well, and she already knows "sit." Honestly, she'd be a perfect fit for pretty much any family, with kids or without. She just has so much love to give and really just wants to be your best friend 03/29/2026: 3/27 Per Volunteer: Easy to leash, came right to the front. Walked nicely on the leash, no pulling Yes, I handled the dog. Enjoyed the attention. Gentle Walked right into kennel and unleashed without issue She seeens to have dry skin. Rolled on back excessively. Appreciated back scratches 03/20/2026: Adding no cat attribute out of an abundance of caution due to note from day trip that she was pulling towards small animals 03/09/2026: per day trip 3/9: We took Whimsey out to the park for the day. She took a couple of minutes to warm up to us, but hopped right in the car and was in our laps in seconds. She was very calm in the car, even taking a nap on the way to the park. We played disc golf with her as she was a good frother partner. She waked very well on the leash too. She interacted with other humans and she was very nice letting them pet her. Whimsey was very curious sniffing as we went and overall a great listener. If you need a bit more whimsy and magic in your life please take me home. 03/07/2026: Kennel Presentation: whimsy was laying in her crate. I walked over and she slowly stood up. some lip licking, paw lifting. She took a treat gently. I was able to easily leash her and she pranced right out. Leash Skills: she walks well on leash. She is hyperviligant at times, her ears moved between being forward and pinned back, there were not relaxed outside. She kept her body a little low and lifted her paw at times. She had her tail relaxed or mid level but not wagging. Be mindful, she seems to have naturally wide eyes so it does not appear she was whale eyeing. Sociability: outside on the walk, whimsy do not seem interested in engaging, she would advert her gaze. She would only accept some treats and often spit them out. In the volunteer office, she was way more social. She jumped up to say hi to people with a mid level tail wag. She took treats very gently. She allowed petting but would get stiff and her ears back. Play: she chased a toy but did not take possession. Dog Interaction: n/a Return to Kennel: walked right in Color Level: experienced gold 03/07/2026: Playgroup 3/7: Steerable with water (3.5/5). Gate greetings: Slow; paw lifts; stiff, high tail; ears back; tentative/hesitant. In yard, slow & steady entry, took a long pee then seemed inclined to shuffle & zoom - but was interrupted by greetings from Jeffery. Whimsy also greeted, then milled around exploring, occasionally bursting into brief zooms/shuffles. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia.
