Hi world, I'm Kenai! I'm 75 pounds of pure happiness and my main priorities in life are love, food, and naps. I'm a lap dog at heart and love just hanging out with my people. I love walks, hikes, and road trips. I have a small yard right now and love sunbathing, chasing flies, and watching squirrels. I don't like cats, and small dogs are overwhelmed by my enthusiasm, but I play nicely with dogs slightly smaller than me and greet all dogs politely when on leash (I make what my foster mom calls my "chimpanzee snorts" when I see a dog I want to play with). I do love being the center of attention, so most likely would be happiest in a single dog home. I'm house trained, crate trained, don't chew, and know sit, wait, no, down, and come (unless I see a squirrel). Nothing in life is better than treats, so I love doing training! We are working on heel. I'm hoping for an active family who can take me for a few walks a day and maybe even to the dog park! I'm an expert sleeper, so if you're not a morning person, that's fine! Kids could be okay, but it's best if they're older so I don't knock them over with my love (or my tail). I'm in a foster home but hope to meet you soon!
