Meet Trixi! Trixi’s story is one of resilience, sweetness, and second chances. She was found in the middle of a dark back road late at night, scared and alone, with both of her eyes sealed shut from a severe infection. When a kind man called out to her, she came running straight toward his voice, trusting him completely. He scooped her up and brought her home, where he and his wife gave her the love and care she so desperately needed. Despite everything she had been through, Trixi has proven to be nothing but gentle, affectionate, and full of love. One of her eyes had significant infection and past trauma, and after careful consideration, we made the decision to have it removed to give her the best quality of life moving forward. She has healed beautifully and does not let it slow her down one bit. In fact, it just adds to how special she is. Trixi is a total sweetheart. She loves attention, enjoys being around her people, and gets along wonderfully with both cats and dogs. She would do great in a variety of homes and is ready to be someone’s very loved companion.
