Cookie is a super sweet dog with an awfully sad story. This 3-year-old Shih tzu was loved so much by her family, but then her mom had to move into a specialized care home with Alzheimer's. Her dad was overwhelmed and felt that Cookie needed a better place to live. So, here she is! Cookie is so happy and friendly and loves everyone. She is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and is trustworthy in the house. She is relatively low key but will have short bursts of energy where she'll play with toys or zoom around the yard. Her goal is to be with her person, preferably being petted, as much as possible. Cookie gets along fine with other dogs, but wouldn't mind being the only dog in the home, so she can soak up all the attention. She would love someone who will take her on walks and other adventures. She's very social and that sunny personality should be shared with the world. Sweet Cookie is being fostered in the metro Atlanta area.
