Miss Maxine was found wandering around a Tijuana neighborhood alone when a Good Samaritan started asking their neighbors about her. This young adult was so friendly that she must've been someone lost kitty, but neighbors confirmed that she was a stray that had been hanging around since December 2025. Her rescuer was able to safely get her inside before any groups of coyotes got to her, which unfortunately had been happening more and more often to the strays. She quickly warmed up to being inside a cozy, warm home filled with love, and she is ready to share that love with a furever family! After being seen by a vet, her care team noticed that she had a cloudiness in her left eye that did not go away with treatment, as it was likely the result from an old infection or injury that healed.
