Say “cheese”! 🧀 📸 Meet Cheddar, the scaredy-doodle! This young man was abandoned locally, his background a mystery. He was already neutered and recently groomed but no one came to claim him at the shelter 🤷‍♀️. He is a nervous guy who can get defensive with quick movements and some handling/being picked up but sweet and needy if allowed to warm up and come to you on his terms. He stares at you and has full conversations like he’s trying to desperately communicate something but we aren’t sure exactly what. Is he hungry? Want a walk? Playtime? Did Timmy fall down the well? 🤷‍♀️. He definitely looks like he was loved and cared for at one point and we wish he could actually talk and tell us his story. He’s warming up to other dogs and even starting to play with them a little and we can see he has great potential. We think he’s a mini golden doodle, mini labradoodle, or maybe just a big mini poodle, about 22lbs and 2 years old. He’s seen out vet (that was a bit dramatic 😳 a muzzle was involved), been updated on shots and is ready to find a calmer adult home that will go slow, respect his space and give him time to bond and adjust.
