Meet Red! Red is a male, 2-3 year old, pittie mix looking for a family of his own. Red was recently surrendered to a good Samaritan who had been concerned for his welfare and safety for some time. He had spent day and night in a cage and suffered physically from the environment he was living in. Red knew if he kept smiling, someone would recognize what a great best friend he could be! We are looking for an experienced adopter familiar with the breed and training to insure Red thrives. Red has only recently been introduced to a house, yard and consistent attention; and he is loving it so far! Red is doing well in the crate and house training. He also aced his first ever vet visit and nail trim. Red has lots of energy. Like, lots! He needs leash training since it is all new to him. He wants to please and is food motivated (hint, hint) which will help! He loves to fetch and even brings the ball back. He has had only positive meets with women, men and children and has not been reactive with dogs so far. However, since he has not lived with other dogs, we recommend slow, controlled meets. He enjoys cuddles and affection and quiets well at night. The only thing Red has had issues with: MIRRORS. He is not a fan! We hope that with some confidence and encouragement he will begin to appreciate his own handsome mug as much as we do. Red had a rough start and was let down by human(s) in the beginning.
