About Seamus
All three remaining puppies are thriving and even though we were told this was possibly distemper and we ran pcr testing for both distemper and herpes since we had four previous failure to thrive puppies, Seamus spent an afternoon at Carolina Vet Specialists getting fluids and tests done he was sent home with a diagnosis of possible toxin overload from all the meds he was on for both pneumonia and a heavy parasite load which was causing the neurological symptoms and his overall general decline. So Seamus Kieran and Finnegan continue to do great and are now eating wet food as well as nursing and bottle feeding and even momma Arabella has returned to her sweet self and loves getting her daily walks in by our neighbor and children. She’s going to be one amazing dog for someone. Sweet quite well behaved and super loving now. Wants to hug you and not let go. Pups will be five weeks tomorrow so we will let them go in three more weeks because they will be bigger dogs and mom is getting drained and can’t gain weight. So technically they can go home on April 23. Mom is a 40lb reddish blonde wirehaired curly haired doodle mix at only 1-2 yrs old. Puppies are possibly mixed with a shepherd. Paws are big and I feel all will be bigger than mom is now. Kieran is the largest at over 5lbs already and the tan smooth coated one. Fabulous personality my favorite. Then Finnegan is the black slightly wavy fur one with a white cross on his chest. More aloof and loves to howl or bark when he’s excited. And little Seamus is now the runt with the black more curly poodle coat and about 3lbs. Because he’s been bottle fed he’s the most cuddly right now. Please apply to adopt any of them at www.peanutsplacerescue.org click application scroll down it’ll appear. Must be local charlotte to adopt our puppies. Voucher comes with each packet for all continuing vet care including their neuters and chip when full grown. Arabella gets spayed may 11. She’s heartworm negative and has her rabies already. All dogs including mom can go home April 23.
