Bernard was picked up as a stray and taken to Greene County Animal Control. His stray hold was coming to an end when we saw him—and we just couldn’t walk away. With his incredibly sweet disposition and the way he reminded us so much of our very own Buck, we knew he deserved a second chance. After bringing Bernard to our veterinary hospital, we discovered something heartbreaking—he has previously been shot with BBs. It’s something we will never understand, because this boy is nothing short of gentle, loving, and pure. We estimate Bernard to be around 2 years old. He is ready to start his new life. Now, all he needs is the perfect home. A home where he will be safe, cherished, and loved the way he always should have been. We are determined to make sure the rest of Bernard’s life is filled with kindness, comfort, and happiness.
