About Waylon
Start your journey together! Apply now. Waylon has had a tough beginning to his life, but his resilience shines through now that he has found safety in rescue. He currently weighs around 60 pounds and is steadily gaining healthy weight. When he arrived, his coat was so severely matted it limited his movement and you could barely recognize him as a dog, but thanks to plenty of TLC, he has been shaved and is on his way to growing a beautiful, full coat. Despite everything, Waylon has no trouble getting around and absolutely loves to run and play. He is adjusting well to being an indoor companion, showing great progress with crate training and housebreaking, and is already embracing his new indoor life. Waylon is still learning to walk nicely on a leash and can be a bit of a puller, but his eagerness to please is evident. Trick training will come, but first he’s allowed time to decompress and settle in. While he seems to be good around children, his size and energy could accidentally knock over a toddler, so supervision with little ones is key. Waylon is essentially a blank slate eager for love, guidance, and routine, but also needs a home ready for the regular grooming a Labradoodle requires. He will truly blossom with an adopter who sees not just his physical potential with some pampering, but his emotional potential as well. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
