Cookie (A138435) is a 1-year-9-month-old DSH who weighed 7.81 pounds on intake! 04/03/26 Sweet little Miss Cookie, previously known as Laramie, was very reluctantly brought back to the shelter due to housing issues. Cookie, who sometimes goes by her full name: Cookies and Cream the Pizza Thief, is quite the kitty! She is an indoor only kitty, and she LOVES to play! She likes to play with other cats, but she also enjoys playing with dogs of any size (the bigger the dog, the harder she plays)! As her name implies, Cookie also LOVES pizza, but only Pizza Hut pizza. She has been known to try and literally steal pizza out of your mouth as you are eating. She has also been known to get into the trash, so make sure it is secure! However, Cookie can and will open cabinets and get herself stuck in them. She apparently gets in just fine and then gets lost and can't find her way out, choosing to meow very loudly for assistance. Cookie should remain an indoor only cat, as she finds collars restricting. She will become stressed to the point of refusing to eat, if placed in a collar or harness. Her favorite toys are laser toys and cardboard scratchers. She will also try to play with tide pods, so keep that childproof (cat proof) lid on secure! Cookie can be shy around strangers, and she does not have much experience with babies or children. As any typical cat, she has been known to hunt smaller animals, so make sure any hamsters, reptiles or guinea pigs are in secure enclosures and kept away from her. Laramie quickly came out of her shell at the shelter and eagerly welcomes pets and all the attention! She was surrendered to the shelter after her owner sadly passed away, so we do not have much of a history on her. Laramie did come from a home with many other kitties but we do not know if she has ever been around dogs, pocket pets, or livestock. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new potential friends. Laramie has used her litterbox well at the shelter and seems to enjoy all the snacks that have come her way. If you are interested in meeting Laramie, please let us know!
