About Cody Crockett

# Cody Crockett: The "Pocket" Pyrenees Meet Cody Crockett, a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who is truly one-of-a-kind. If you love the look and temperament of a Pyr but don’t have the space for a giant, Cody is your guy. At just 37 pounds, he is fully grown and the perfect "pocket" size for any family. # Appearance & Heritage Cody is a stunning boy with long, soft fur and a distinctive "badger mask" on his face. He is accented with beautiful reddish-brown spots and even sports the extra back dewclaws, a proud signature of his Pyrenees heritage. With his dainty frame, he looks like he might have a dash of Collie or Aussie mixed in. # Personality & Manners Cody has the mellow temperament of a house cat. While he can be a little timid at first, he is a gentle, curious soul who is a dream to have in the house. * Fully Vetted: Cody is up to date on all vaccinations and medical care, ready to hit the ground running with his new family. * Potty Trained: He is fully house-trained and has been an absolute gentleman in his foster home. * The Best Friend: He is a total couch potato but loves a good romp in the yard. * The Socialite: He is currently best friends with his foster mom’s 11-month-old male Pyr mix. He is excellent with other dogs and is incredibly sweet with children of all ages. * The Gentleman: He doesn’t jump on people and only occasionally barks (usually just to copy his foster brother!). # Training & Progress Cody has come so far since being dumped four months ago. He is still learning that the world is a safe place, so he is: * Improving his leash skills every day. * Working on his confidence when walking through doorways. * Looking for a patient adopter who will give him the time and love he needs to truly shine. # The Ideal Home Cody would thrive in a home with another confident dog to show him the ropes. He would do great in practically any environment as long as his humans understand that he just needs a little time to feel safe. Once he knows he's home, he is the most loyal, sweet companion you could ask for. Cody is currently being fostered in Fort Collins, CO.
