Rue is a one-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog with a heart that’s really starting to shine. When he first arrived at the shelter, everything felt a little overwhelming, and he took some time to find his footing. Now that he’s settled in and familiar with his surroundings and people, Rue has truly blossomed into a sweet, affectionate companion. He can still be a bit jumpy at times, especially when he’s excited, but he’s actively working on his manners and is incredibly eager to learn. Rue is the kind of dog who wants to get it right, and with a few tasty treats and some consistency, he’s quick to catch on. One of his favorite things is leaning gently into your legs for pets, soaking up all the affection he can get. It’s his quiet, endearing way of asking for connection.
