Meet Blue! Blue is a 66-pound blue Pit Bull, around a year and a half to two years old, with a heart every bit as big as he is. This handsome guy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on prevention, and has successfully completed heartworm treatment. After being pulled from a shelter in South Louisiana, Blue has proven himself to be nothing short of an amazing dog. He is all muscle and all love — a true gentle soul wrapped up in a strong, goofy body. Blue has done wonderfully with everyone he has met, including tiny 10-week-old puppies, seven shy Dachshunds, Labs, Boston Terriers, and just about every other dog you can think of. He has shown no aggression at all, only kindness and a sweet desire to be part of the fun. Blue is the kind of dog who thinks he belongs in your lap, and honestly, he would be perfectly happy spending his days hanging out with you on the couch. He is a little clumsy, which only adds to his charm, and he is a big lovable goofball to the core. He enjoys playing ball and absolutely loves a good chew bone of any kind. He is excellent in a crate. Once he knows which crate is his, all you have to do is say “kennel,” and he will go right in and lay down. He stays clean through the night and during the day as needed, and he did amazing even while on crate rest. Blue also does well on Purina dog food and eats in his crate without issue. Blue is good on a leash, though he may occasionally pull when he gets excited. He does well with a shorter 5-foot fence. He has met cats and seemed to want very badly to play with them, but when they hissed at him, he just seemed disappointed more than anything. He loves men and does well with older children. He has not been around younger kids yet. More than anything, Blue is just a gentle, loving dog looking for a safe place to land and a family to adore.
