Camila came into the Shelter as an owner surrender after her previous guardian was unable to continue caring for her. She has been hanging out in a foster home so we can learn more about her. Here is what her foster parents have to say: Camila is a sweet, mellow and loving dog. She's quiet, doesn't bark at other dogs, doesn't beg for food, doesn't demand too much actvitiy, and sleeps soundly the whole nght. She loves to cuddle on the couch with us. She walks wonderfully, doesn't pull and responds to commands. She's friendly towards people and always seeks to approach them. Camila would be a perfect companion to any adopter. She's very calm and easy to handle! In her previous home, Camila lived with teenagers and men in the previous home. She enjoys playing with toys, going for walks and attending the dog park. She had some dog friends of corgis and Pyrenees in her previous home. Camila has also met dogs at the Shelter and done well. A home with a dog may be a fit provided they meet at the Shelter prior to adoption. Camila has been around large sized barn animals (horses and cows) and done well. She knows “sit”, “down” and “give hand” for a treat! We highly recommend adopters continue working on positive reinforcement based training with Camila to help strengthen the bond with the adopter as well as provide mental stimulation for this smart cookie.
