Meet Peppercorn! When winter grew harsh and food was hard to find, a brave little cat made a life‑changing choice. Peppercorn—affectionately called Pepper—followed a kind stranger home, meowing softly for help. Cold, hungry, and pregnant, she knew she needed safety, and she trusted the right humans. Now about 3 years old, Peppercorn is the picture of resilience and sweetness. Despite everything she’s endured, she is incredibly affectionate. From the moment she arrived in her foster home, she began purring, relaxing, and showing her gentle, grateful nature. Her foster describes her as “just such a sweetheart,” and it’s easy to see how much love she still has to give. Peppercorn would thrive in a calm home where she can be cherished as a tender, loving companion. She’s happiest as the only cat, as the scent of other cats can make her uneasy. These days she appears to be tolerant to dogs and is doing wonderfully in foster care. She can be a bit enthusiastic at mealtime, so a home with older children—or no children—would be best.
