Zeus is a beautiful 8-year-old Pit Bull Boxer mix who is patiently waiting for a family to call his own. He arrived at the shelter skin and bones, suffering from a painful skin rash. Thanks to proper care and love, Zeus healed and was ready for a new beginning. He now resides safely at Pattie's Waggin' Tails Senior Sanctuary while he waits for his forever family. Zeus belongs with an active family, ideally remote workers/self-employed, or even farming. I am begging - truly begging - for you to share this incredible boy far and wide. A senior sanctuary is not the ideal place for this active boy. Medical & Support Info: Zeus has a heart murmur and requires daily medication. The sanctuary is willing to assist financially with the cost of his medications for his adopter if needed. Personality & Home Fit: Don't let the heart murmur fool you - Zeus is high energy and full of life He loves all humans - but because of his energy level, older kids are best. Requires a secure, fenced-in yard Loves chasing squirrels and wildlife - leash use is important Zeus is a jumper and must be leashed when new people enter the home (He just wants to love, kiss, and greet everyone - he doesn't realize his own strength!) Once settled, he is happy to cuddle and relax with his people He LOVES antlers - loves, loves, loves them - Temperament: Zero aggression, we mean ZERO. Loves dogs of all sizes and is gentle with them. He's been with dogs from 4 pounds to 70 pounds - in his case...size doesn't matter. Perfect with large dogs he can run with. Perfect with cats. Super obedient and overall very chill once his excitement settles Zeus simply loves humans so much that he doesn't know what to do with all that love and energy. With a handler who can manage his jumpiness and give him structure, Zeus will be an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion. Please help us find Zeus the active home he deserves.
