Current Location: Eldersburg, MD My name is Espresso but you can call me Essie. If I could talk I could tell you my history but it is a mystery to OPH. I came to the shelter starving and very unweight. I was also pregnant and HW positive. Once at OPH, I was given a loving foster home and lots of food. I am done being a mama, spayed and done with Heartworm treatment and I am ready to moved into your heart and home. Below are some comments from my foster. Essie is crate trained (with a treat) and is one of the quietest dogs we have ever had. Makes no peeps in crate. she walks great on leash, is slow and calm. She is strong because she's big and if she wants to go see something, she will try, but is great with listening! We have only heard her bark a few times, and it's normally on the deck when she sees something far away or heard something strange. She listens to the word "no" and stops right away. She's calm, lays down a lot. She's only 3 so she will have her excited playful moments but she is also super chill especially inside the house. She gets along great with other dogs and her previous foster had many she would play with in the fenced in backyard When she has outside time and free to roam she will be playful and would love to play with you. She loves stuff animals and big tennis balls. She's loves kids and people and loves to great people she meets She doesn't realize her size and wants to sit on your lap on the sofa, so she tries her best to be a lap dog. She just wants to be loved! She also jumps up on grown ups for attention but has never jumped on the kids. *We are working on NO jumping with greeting adults. She knows sit and learning other commands. She is a smart girl.
