She arrived at the shelter underweight, heartworm positive, and pregnant. With the care of a loving foster home, she raised her puppies, completed treatment, and is now healthy, spayed, and ready for a home of her own. Mollie is calm and one of the quietest dogs around. She is crate trained with a treat and settles in without a sound. In the home, she is relaxed and content, happy to lounge nearby and be part of your day. She has playful moments outside and enjoys stuffed toys and big tennis balls, but her overall energy is balanced and easygoing. On leash, she is slow, steady, and enjoys a peaceful walk. She is strong, but listens well and responds to guidance. She knows sit and is learning more, showing how smart and willing she is. Mollie loves people and greets them with affection. She sometimes forgets her size and may try to climb into your lap or jump up, but it comes from a place of pure love. She does well with other dogs and enjoys having space to explore and play. She would do best in a calm home where introductions are slow and thoughtful. Sudden movement or unexpected entrances can startle her, so a predictable environment will help her feel secure. An environment with with no children would be best as she does have a strong herding instinct. It is recommended she goes to an adoptive home with someone experienced in handling guarding breed dogs.
