Piper is slow to warm up to people, but once trust is gained, she loves deeply and unconditionally. She is very protective of her loved ones, and special precautions will need to be taken when she is around visitors or out in public. She is 9 years old and was born with a medical condition that affected her pancreas, so she does take a prescription medication twice a day to keep it from flaring up. Otherwise, our veterinarian says that she is very healthy. She does not care for the company of children, cats, or other dogs. She would do best in a quiet home with one person, or a couple who has no children or other pets.
