EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 5: CLOSED KCK Animal Services is located at 3301 Park Drive, KCK. -------- BITTY is a cute B&W Chihuahua! She's 3 years old and she weighs 18 lbs, which is not itty bitty for a Chihuahua mix! Bitty is a very friendly and sweet girl. She's good with other dogs. Sadly, BITTY tested positive for heartworms. Yes-- small dogs do get heartworms! But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get her into a home during her treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about her heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering her (we’d love to find her a foster home!). Once her treatment plan is completed, Bitty will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions! ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
