Pumpernickel is a beautiful 2-year old female (possible) Spaniel mix who was brought to the HSOV by a Good Samaritan who had found her on Eighth Street in Marietta Ohio. Pumpernickel was wearing a collar but there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag on her collar .. And she was not microchipped. This little dollbaby has a brown-and-white coat, a long tail, and an adorable brown face with expressive brown eyes, a white ring around her muzzle, a black button nose, and large floppy ears with slightly longer hair on her ears. Her right ear is brown while her left ear is brown/white with brown freckles. Pumpernickel was quite content to pose for glamour photos soon after her arrival while relaxing on her gold/white blanket in the Receiving Area kennel. She is a lovely young lady with a very sweet disposition. Pumpernickel had not yet stepped on the scales when these pictures were taken. She likely weighs 35-40 lbs. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Pumpernickel was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that her family would have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. As of April 2nd, nobody had called or come looking for this cute girl.
