He’s very shy at first and will need a patient, understanding home willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe. But beneath that timid exterior is a truly sweet soul just waiting to bloom. He came in as a stray alongside his best friend, Salsa, and the two share a special bond. They take comfort in each other, and Chips would absolutely love to find a home where they can stay together. When Chips first arrived, he was severely matted and clearly uncomfortable, so he had to get a fresh (and temporary!) haircut to help him feel better. Now that he’s on the mend, he’s starting to show little glimpses of the loving dog he’s meant to be. Chips may not run up to you right away—but once you earn his trust, the reward is something truly special. A soft, loyal companion who will quietly steal your heart.
