About Rheta

Meet Rheta, a lovely young girl who has returned to our care. This striking mixed-breed dog, with her Australian Shepherd characteristics, was once found alone on the streets, likely abandoned. Initially fearful, she was rescued and brought to safety. Since then, she has been learning to trust humans and has picked up vital skills like leash training and crate training. Although she’s affectionate once she feels secure, her journey has had some bumps. At around 8-12 months and weighing about 35 pounds, Rheta is still developing her social skills. While she has shown promise in her foster home, she can be nervous around certain situations, particularly with cats. It’s evident that she needs a patient, understanding adopter who can guide her in creating a positive foundation. She's keen to feel safe and become part of a loving family. Rheta sleeps soundly in her crate at night and enjoys her outdoor playtime. Though she's not fully house trained yet, she shows improvement when given consistent guidance. With time and positive reinforcement, you'll see her warm and loving personality shine through. If you think you're the right match for Rheta, don’t hesitate to reach out!
