Meet Ranger Ranger is a big, sweet fellow, about 2 years old. He was found in the forest wandering. A Good Smartian took him in and fostered him, making sure he was safe and fed. His foster Mom searched everywhere and posted everywhere, local animal controls, veterinarian clinics, social media. With no luck finding his family and having to head out of town she surrendered him to us in the hopes we could find him a good home. Ranger is amazing. He looks like an Anatolian Shepherd mix. He is as handsome as they come with a beautiful cream/brown colored thick coat. He weighs about 60 lbs. He is very calm, friendly, and sweet. Ranger is people and dog friendly. We’ll test for cats for potential adopters. Ranger is house-trained too. He walks well on a leash but can be strong. He’ll need a strong person who can hold his leash if something gets his attention. He’ll also need a containment fenced yard. He’s a big, loveable pup with good manners and a wonderful disposition. He’s enjoying our play yards and loves being outside. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes.
